Local Color

There are many disadvantages of shooting on the move - time to focus is almost nonexistent, composition is compromised, etc, etc. So when I was visiting Bangladesh two years ago, my gameplan was to shoot as much as I could and later on sort out those that would be nice enough to share. This was so-so in color, but on sepia, it looked decent and gives a sense of otherworldly era. What say you?

  4. Some pictures lend themselves to color and others to sepia. I believe in taking a lot of pictures when the opportunity allows and go thru them later. Great picture.

  6. Yes, this works nicely. Color photography is just that - colors, but not shapes or shadows, or at least it's more difficult. Sometimes it's best to remove the color and see what's left.
    Lovely work.

  10. I feel here the blur helps give an action to your photo! It gives me a sense of motion in a way that the two people you captured were moving! Sepia tone really gives it a vintage look! Super!!
