Since there was no traffic, you should have personalized the pic by laying down the road and asking your companion to take your pic LOL.
I once laid down stripped to my short in an icy road and had my picture taken. My wife said had I not kept my short, she would have driven off and left me to freeze to death LOL.
I just love to take photos of roads, straight, curvy, wide, narrow - all kinds. Here's a curvy one at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada.
