Sky Photo Postcard

I've used this quote a while back but I'm using it again. I think it's just to show how I admire our creator. :) How he never got to create two same skies is a wonder!

If you've been to my other blogs then you might have seen that I do a lot of photo postcards. Most of them are on my Postcard Perfect blog - which by the way also accepts contribution like this one (www.postcard-perfect.com). I layout my photos to postcards and have them printed. I found a reasonably priced postcard printing service that prints my photos in good quality. I just need to email my photo, set the borders, the size and the number of prints I want, put in my name and address and pay online via credit card or bank account and voila! I'm really contented at 0.20€ a piece plus about 3€ for shipping. My postcards arrive in 3 days at most. I find it really convenient and very personal.

So far I've sent about 10 of my personal printed postcards to friends. It's a great way to send as personal gifts to family members especially if the print are those of my kids.  I print landscape photos too and I send them out as giveaways to readers.

You know, it's always been my dream to see my own photos on those postcard stands...I just don't know where to begin. So this is actually my first step to do that...hopefully. :)

Sky Watching while Driving by

This stretch of Highway 4 from the city of Hercules to the city of Martinez, in the San Francisco Bay area is to me one of my favorite drives because of its lovely rolling hills.

Sky Watch Friday - Puff

Sky Watch Friday - Silhoutte

Today was a rather windy day, at how much I weigh, I was surprised how the wind could still sway me over! =D

A friend said there's a storm, but there were no rains at all, just strong winds and gloomy clouds, as if waiting for someone's signal to pour water down.

This photo was taken from the train while we were passing by the Danube overlooking the construction area on the 20th district...you'd see cranes and buildings and a cathedral too! (the black top is the train's window, which needs cleaning!)

Sky Watch Friday - Silver

Driving by the Danube is always a pleasant trip, one gets to see beautiful skies aside from the usual charm of the lake. I call this photo 'silver' because of the sky's grayish glow.

Sky Watch Friday - Beautiful blue

Taken today, just when I thought autumn would be days of rain, fog, and gloominess, it turned blue and beautiful! Perfect to drive by and stroll into the city.

This construction work has been going on since summer, a new multiplex center for Siemens is being erected here at Siemenstrasse. =)

Sky Watch Friday - Millenium Tower from the farther side

Millennium Tower is located near the Danube, it is the tallest building and 4th tallest structure in Austria at 171 metres (561 feet) after the Donauturm. An antenna mounted on top of the tower brings the architectural height to 202 metres (663 feet) but does not count to its overall height. It was designed by the architects Gustav Peichl, Boris Podrecca and Rudolf Weber. The tower has 51 floors, serves both commercial and residential purposes, and is the focal point of a complex known as "Millennium City". It was completed in 1999 for the coming of the third millennium.

Below shows how taller the Millenium Tower is than the Donauturm, this two tower is one station apart taking the u6 trainline. I was on the tramline 31 which runs on the other bridge, I was glad to have captured it that way, and with sky that seems to be so angry too!
