Sweater Weather for July 13

The picture was taken June 4, 2011, but the weather today is exactly like this. It's cold and gray and it is July 13 - summertime - here in the San Francisco Bay Area. And yes, I am wearing a sweater :)

Ivy-covered Wall

I love taking this road on the way to the Asian grocery store, especially when the ivy covers this wall that separates this city sidestreet with the busy freeway.

Sky Watching while Driving by

This stretch of Highway 4 from the city of Hercules to the city of Martinez, in the San Francisco Bay area is to me one of my favorite drives because of its lovely rolling hills.

Fall Drive

If you hear California you wouldn't easily associate it with fall colors. You would think of palm trees and giant sequioas. But we do have some fall colors too.

God willing and schedule permitting, hubs and I drive 200 miles every year to Plumas County where the colors of fall burst into a kaleidoscope of yellow, reds, and browns. It's a glorious drive.
