I hadn't paid any attention to the concept, but the photos are pretty cool! I've got a number of "drive by" shots -- some of which I took while I was doing the driving! (Shh.) And if the car, etc. doesn't actually have to be moving the number of qualifying shots goes up exponentially because I frequently shoot from the driver's seat while stopped.
I digress. What I really wanted to say was I love the color in this shot! And the composition as well -- made especially impressive by the circumstances under which it came to be. Marvelous!
This looks like it could be Lake Tahoe, except it needs some really high mountains. So were you driving when you took this or were you in the passenger seat? Hee, hee! Beautiful place to stop and look around...Thanks for visiting my post.
Thank you everyone for the comments. It does look like this shot was taken from above. But I took this while on deck of a cruise ship; I dont remember how high I was. The ship was going back to Vancouver, so this is somewhere between Alaska and Canada.
Nice shot, beautiful, beautiful landscape. I would love to jump in but am assuming it is probably quite cold. LOL! Thanks for stopping by my blog, Allison
Drive By Photography is a blog for shots taken while inside a train, bus, car or tram (moving or not) (Drive by). It is a challenging task as the glasses and movement gives the photos a little kick.
Thanks to the co-authors of this blog; Photo Cache and Syel.
Everyone is welcome too to contribute their own 'drive by' shots. Please email your photos, including name, url, date photo is taken and the story behind the photo to mirage2g(at)gmail.com.

Nice! It is hard to get shots when you are moving and the glass is a challenge. You did great with this one, where is it?
Now this is a beautiful place to drive by I KNOW I would want to stop to take a really good look. NICE!
Fantastic shot. I am jealous
Makes me want to head to the lake. LOL not sure where the nearest one is around here. Great shot P.C. =)

Nice shot! I know all about photographing from a car! Done it a lot of times with fluctuating results! Interesting concept this site! Beautiful lake!
Cool idea for a blog!
This is a great shot! Looks like you were up high - maybe on a bridge.
My post is on my photoblog: Carletta’s Captures.
Oh My Goodness, that's a very pretty scene! Where is it?
That is a VAST place, very beautiful, wherever it is.
G, don't tell me you did some paragliding to take this shot!:D
Cool concept you have here. Very nice photo - the type I would want to hang on the wall or put on my screensaver, so I can see it all day.
This is such a beautiful place. A great one to go sailing. Great capture! Where is it?
Nice shot, thanks for sharing and thankyou for dropping by my blog:-)
That is so scenic with the boat and the lovely tree lined shore. You have stood somewhere pretty high up for this photo. Lovely work.
beautiful color blue!

Beautiful. I'd like to be down on that boat!!
Cool. It would be fun to go wakeboarding there.
I like the composition of this pic.
Great shot! Thanks for your comment at my "Looking at the Sky on Friday." :)
Beautiful, peaceful shot, with great detail of the wake and the waves.
